Staff_Julia-Clohisy

I started working with Common Good in January 2021 as an intern and am now on staff working as Communications and Outreach Coordinator. My role with Common Good has evolved many times during my time here, allowing me to expand on my skills and foster new strengths. My work with Common Good allows me to put my creative energy into something I believe in – helping communities become more economically resilient.

I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in May 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology, and accepted a second position as a Laboratory Technician at MilliporeSigma developing antibody-based drugs. I have always had a passion for helping make sure everyone can live healthy, fulfilling lives and realized during my studies that some of the major barriers in getting there are socioeconomic. I am grateful
to tackle public health from both ends by having a role in both the life science field and in the social justice space here at Common Good. I believe that a strong sense of community and compassion for others is essential in creating a more equitable future, and feel fulfilled knowing my work aligns with these principles.

Outside of work, I enjoy making art, being with friends and family, exploring nature, and walking my dog Shadow around my hometown, Haverhill, MA.
